我們每一個人都應該思考：
我的終身目標是什麼？在目前這個人生階段，我的目標又是什麼？
Each of us should ask ourselves:
What is my lifetime goal? And what is my goal at this current stage of life?
人生不是一場短跑，而是一段長程旅程。日常的學習、工作與生活，其實都只是「過程」。
Life is not a sprint but a long journey. Our daily study, work, and routines are all part of the process.
在這個過程中：
• 失敗帶來經驗
• 成功帶來信心
• 兩者都是成長的重要養分
Along the way:
• Failure gives us experience.
• Success builds confidence.
• Both are valuable gains.
因此，不必過度焦慮，也不必患得患失。只要方向正確，就可以帶著從容與自信向前走。
So, there is no need to be overly anxious or afraid of mistakes. As long as the direction is right, we can move forward with calmness and confidence.
二、閱讀與寫作訓練：培養邏輯與解決問題的能力
2.Reading and Writing Training: Building Logic and Problem-Solving Skills
以美國法學院（Juris Doctor）為例，它是一種極具代表性的訓練模式。
Take U.S. law schools (Juris Doctor programs) as an example — they provide one of the most rigorous forms of intellectual training.
法學院通常為三年制研究所課程：
每上 3 小時的課，往往需要 10–15 小時的課前準備，閱讀 15–25 個案例。
In a JD program, every 3 hours of class often requires 10–15 hours of preparation, including reading 15–25 cases.
學生反覆接受一種邏輯訓練，稱為 FIRAC：
Students are trained repeatedly using the FIRAC framework:
• Facts（事實）
• Issues（爭點）
• Rules（規則／原則）
• Analysis（分析）
• Conclusion（結論）
這種訓練的重點不只是法律，而是培養：
This training is not only about law, but about learning how to:
• 清楚拆解問題
→ break problems into clear components
• 有條理地分析與推理
→ analyze logically and systematically
• 把複雜內容講得簡單、精準
→ explain complex ideas in a clear and concise way

這正是寫報告、提案（proposals）、做研究與解決問題最重要的能力。

三、表達與簡報能力：華人需要刻意培養的重要能力
3. Communication and Presentation Skills: A Key Area for Growth
除了專業能力之外，**表達能力（presentation skills）**往往決定一個人能走多遠。
Beyond technical expertise, communication skills often determine how far a person can go.
良好的表達包括：
Good presentation means being able to:
• 專業而清楚
→ be professional and clear
• 口語化、自然、不生硬
→ speak naturally and conversationally
• 抓住重點
→ highlight key points
• 讓聽眾願意聽、聽得懂
→ engage the audience
• 適度幽默，增加互動
→ use appropriate humor to connect
在華人文化中，我們往往比較內斂，不太習慣推銷自己或主動表達意見；
但在美國社會與職場中，這是一項非常關鍵的能力。
In many Asian cultures, people tend to be reserved and less accustomed to self-promotion.
However, in American society and the workplace, communication and presentation are essential skills.
表達能力其實是一種可以後天訓練的能力。
The good news is that communication skills can absolutely be learned and practiced.
四、換環境，是重新塑造自己的最好時機
4. A New Environment Is the Best Opportunity to Rebuild Yourself
來到美國生活與工作，代表一個重新開始的機會。
Moving to the United States offers a chance to start fresh and reshape oneself.
美國擁有：
• 廣大的資源與機會
• 世界領先的教育與研究體系
• 多元文化與創新環境
The U.S. offers:
• abundant resources and opportunities
• world-leading education and research systems
• a diverse and innovative environment
當然，也存在制度與社會層面的挑戰與弱點，但正因如此，更需要方向與自律。
Of course, there are also challenges and weaknesses, which make direction and self-discipline even more important.
真正關鍵的是：
What truly matters is to:
• 把基礎打穩
→ build a solid foundation
• 設立長遠而有高度的目標
→ set long-term and meaningful goals
• 讓每一段學習與經驗彼此連貫
→ connect experiences into a coherent path
當基礎穩固、方向清楚，時間就會成為你的朋友。
When your foundation is strong and your direction clear, time will work in your favor.
